Masaki said that there were terrifying legends about a being created by the Soul Reapers to influence the minds of Humans. It turns out, the Soul Reapers created the Entity to gain more power through it. This parasitic creature was feeding off the pain from Humans, which was also granting the Soul Reapers to gain more abilities. It is not supposed to be there and neither are these Human attributes. But in this Universe, the Entity was only responsible for the pain. The Soul Reapers were gaining power with not even a hint of remorse.
