Chapter 104: Don't Get Out, I'll Shoot You All
South City Prison.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The heavy knocking startled the man awake inside the room.
He opened his eyes and cursed, "What the hell? Who's banging on the door like that?"
"Brother Long, the woman from the auto repair shop who wanted to trade guns sent word. She said they'll be here by noon today," came a hurried voice from outside the door.
Brother Long was shirtless, revealing a large tattoo on his chest.
He opened the door, glanced at his underling, and asked, "How many people are coming with her?"
"Not sure. She said they want to do the trade outside and won't come directly to us," the underling replied.
Brother Long scratched his chin.
He continued, "She's being cautious. Take the brothers outside to meet them. When they arrive, take both the goods and the people. If they cooperate, bring them back; if not, kill the men, but don't kill the women."
"Got it." The underling was about to leave.
Brother Long added, "Bring more weapons. If they're willing to come directly, they probably have some skills. Don't let anything go wrong."
"Don't worry, Brother Long. No matter how tough they are, can they be tougher than bullets? If things go south, I'll just shoot them all," the underling said, patting the rifle slung over his shoulder.
Brother Long nodded, "Alright, go. Finish the job and come back early."
"Got it."
.........
On the road.
The convoy sped along.
The remaining journey started to smooth out, with not many zombies appearing.
Even if some did, they were left far behind or directly smashed to pieces by the vehicles.
Moving swiftly, they were getting close to the target location.
Zzz...
"I can see the agreed-upon meeting point," came the voice of Li Yanhong from the lead vehicle over the radio.
The meeting place was at a cluster of houses located below the prison.
There was still some distance from the prison.
"Do you see anyone?" Wu Heng picked up the radio and asked.
"No, but I can see some barricades set up. There should be people around."
"Slow down, don't go over just yet."
The convoy began to decelerate, inching forward.
"Honk the horn, see if anyone responds," Wu Heng continued.
There were clearly no zombies around, probably cleared out by the people from the prison.
But the lack of people showing up was a bit unsettling.
The harsh sound of a car horn echoed.
It resonated throughout the entire area.
At this moment, two people finally emerged from the other side, wearing prison guard uniforms, waving towards them from a distance.
"Someone's coming out, waving us over!" Li Yanhong reported over the radio.
"Hold on!" Wu Heng said through the radio.
