"I HAD really fun tonight," Maddie beamed. Kwon had walked her back to her hotel room after their night away from the bar.
The blonde's smile was bright and wide as she gazed at the boy in front of her, who had been awfully quiet ever since they stopped dancing.
She was still in his Cobra Kai jacket, it warmed her heart throughout the night. They stood outside her door while silence took over the both of them.
"So," She began awkwardly. "I was thinking that me and you can hang out tomorrow after we're done with our matches," Maddie looked up at him with hopeful eyes.
Kwon ignored her stare as he looked off to the side. "I don't know," he told her. "I have stuff to do afterwards."
Maddie gave him a tight–lipped smile and nodded. "Okay," she stretched out. "Maybe before then?"
Kwon let out a small huff. "I don't know, Mads."
She was confused with his changed mood. Kwon would've begged to hangout with her. . . but now he's acting like a different person.
Maddie shrugged away her thoughts and leaned in to press a kiss against his lips but Kwon stepped back. Her smile faltered, embarrassment covering her face.
"Um, are you okay?" She asked with a puzzled look.
He glanced down and sighed. "We can't do this anymore," He blurted out.
Maddie stood still at his sudden words. "What?" She mumbled out.
He grew frustrated with himself that he had to repeat the words that he didn't mean. "We can't do this anymore!" Kwon repeated with a higher tone.
She stumbled back at his sentence, creating distance between them. "Why?" Maddie inquired. "I thought everything was going good between us?"
