Raven was curled up on the couch, DJ nestled against her chest while Zara lay on a baby pillow nearby, sucking on her tiny fist. She had just finished feeding them and was enjoying the quiet moment when her phone buzzed beside her.

Alisha: Girl, CHECK your damn Instagram RIGHT NOW!

Raven frowned, unlocking her phone and pulling up the app. The first thing she saw was her own post—the video of Damon going full protective dad mode at the twins’ doctor’s appointment.

The caption read: “Toughest man alive… until his kids get their shots. 😂😂😂 #DaddysBabies #KingstonTwins”

And the comments? Going crazy.

People were loving it. Laughing at Damon’s reactions, talking about how adorable the twins were, making edits already.

Then she saw it.

A separate post from some random account with Chanel’s friends in the comments—talking reckless.

“Them kids don’t even look like Damon fr.”

“She know that ain’t his son. She a whole hoe.”

“Lmaoo Chanel said she don’t even care about them kids. She just waitin’ for her real family to start.”

“They ugly as hell.”

Raven’s stomach dropped. Her fingers tightened around her phone.

She wasn’t even the type to let internet drama get to her, but this? Talking about her babies? Calling her a hoe?

Alisha called at that exact moment.

“I KNOW you seen that shif Alisha snapped the moment Raven picked up. “Because I’m ready to fight.”

Raven took a deep breath, her pulse pounding. “Alisha, don’t—”

“Don’t what?! Nah, fuck that, Rae. I’m ‘bout to light these bitches up.”

Raven sighed, rubbing her temple. “Look, I’m not about to argue with some miserable girls on the internet.”

“They called your kids ugly,” Alisha reminded her, voice heated. “They basically sayin’ my God babies ain’t even Damon’s! And we both know where this shit came from—Chanel.”

Raven clenched her jaw. She knew it too.

Chanel might not have posted it herself, but her friends wouldn’t be bold enough to talk crazy like this if she wasn’t running her mouth behind closed doors.

Raven exhaled sharply. “I don’t care what they say.”

Alisha scoffed. “You say that now. But you know who else is gonna see this, right?”

Raven froze.

Damon.

Damon Finds Out

Raven still hadn’t told him. She knew he was already dealing with enough, and she wasn’t about to add more drama to his plate.

But it didn’t matter.

Because an hour later, her phone started blowing up again.

Damon’s Mom, Angela Kingston, commented on the video.

_“I hope Chanel and her lil messy minions enjoyed talkin’ shit while they could. Cuz I got time today. Run them hands when yall see me coming bitches.

Raven’s heart dropped.

She had forgotten she was even friends with Angela on Instagram.

Not even two minutes later—her phone rang.

Damon.

Raven swallowed hard before answering. “Hey—”

“You seen this shit?” His voice was deadly calm, too calm.

Raven sighed, closing her eyes. “Yeah.”

“And you wasn’t gon’ tell me?”

Raven bit her lip. “Damon, you already got enough on your plate with Chanel—”

“Nah,” he cut her off, his voice dropping lower. “This ain’t about Chanel. This about my kids. My son. And some bitchs feelin’ comfortable enough to talk reckless about them.”

Raven stayed quiet.

Damon exhaled sharply, and she could hear him pacing through the phone. “Where you at?”

“Home.”

“I’m on my way.”

Then the line went dead.

Raven stared at her phone, exhaling heavily.

Alisha texted immediately after.

Alisha: Damon see it yet?

Raven: Yeah.

Alisha: Oh. So you already know shit about to get real.*

Raven: Yep.

And the worst part?

She wasn’t even mad about it.
