144. Throwing Out Trash

Alex is walking towards Grimoire Heart's airship, still in his Humanoid Gyuki form. On each of his tails, he holds the defeated Grimoire Heart Mages. Bluenote, Jose, Azuma, Rustyrose, Kain, Ikaruga, Fukuro, and Vidaldus.

He is also holding Hades by the neck with his left hand. The reason he holds these unconscious enemies is to absorb their magic power. He always tried to defeat his opponents as fast as possible so that they'll still have a lot of magic power for him to absorb.

"This guy really has a lot of magic power. Most likely because his Devil's Heart keeps supplying magic power through his Devil's Eye." Alex lifts the unconscious Hades that still hasn't run out of magic power to absorb even though the others don't have anything left anymore.

While walking, Alex is thinking of what he should do to these guys. He's thinking of handing them over to the Magic Council, alive. But they might have spies in the Council to help them escape later because even in the series, they succeeded in infiltrating the Council with Ultear and Jellal.

"Hmm, I'll keep them alive for now. If Acnologia really appears, then I'll just kill them because they'll just be burdens. I can't fight or even run away while taking care of them and I don't want any of them to be taken by Zeref to Alvarez to strengthen his empire."

Killing them seems to be the best solution when Alex thinks about those possibilities. But he also knows that letting them live to get information from them is also important. Besides, if he can hand them over alive to The Magic Council, it will shut those trash high-rank officials who want to find excuses to disband Fairy Tail.

Alex arrives on the fallen airship and breaks the wall to enter it. He doesn't know its layout, so he just walks anywhere he wants. For now, he just walks toward the place where he senses a high amount of magic power.

Soon, he finds Hades's Devil's Heart. Without wasting any time, Alex absorbs the magic power stored inside the Devil's Heart. The magic power inside the Devil's Heart is surprisingly compatible with him, so he can convert a high percentage of it into his own magic power, replenishing the magic power he has used so far.

Alex absorbs the Devil's Heart's magic power until it completely runs out of it. When he's done, Hades suddenly jolts and seems to be in pain even though he's still unconscious. Then Hades's body stops moving and he also stops breathing.

"Eh? He's dead? Ah! This Devil's Heart has his own heart inside. The magic power kept his heart beating, but now it runs out of magic power, so his heart can't beat anymore."

Alex forgets about this matter and doesn't realize that it can cause this. He's too excited to absorb so much magic power that's surprisingly compatible with him. So he happily absorbs everything because this is a rare chance.

"..... Well, whatever. It's not like anyone will miss him. Hmm, then might as well."

With no mercy, Alex breaks the necks of those he holds with his tails to kill them. He has already killed Hades, so there's no use keeping the others alive. These guys have also killed many people, including innocents, so he doesn't have any problem killing them.
