Quick Note: Don't skip, please. Read everything till the end. Thank you.

Recap: "It's time to know everything." Her cold bony hands slid to my cheeks and cupped them.

I wanted to look away-to run away but her scarlet eyes ensnared me completely.

She smiled wickedly and we both spiraled to a stream of never-ending lies.

~Present day

Honey LeChat

The memories now flowed freely-insurmountably. The barrier that had kept them locked up had crumbled along with my foothold to reality.

My body felt light and buoyant, floating in a sea of images that I had not known nor remember. These images with me in them were all the missing pieces to a puzzle. No. Not a puzzle per se. But an unbreakable legacy, eternal and waiting to be unleashed.

Where am I?

No. Where is not important.

The place was dark and though there was a faint light, it did little to soothe the gaping void in my chest.

The old hag stared at me with its scarlet eyes, black lips moving slowly to form the words,

"It all started that night..."

January 28, 2000

"Should we cut it, honey?" Claire asked her daughter with a frown as she continued to brush the long auburn waves.

Her question was met by a sharp shake of a little girl's head. A pair of green eyes that most days were the color of the calm sea under the glare of the sun peered at her mother.

"Mamma, I liked it long. Dad and big brother and the twins like it too."

"But it's way too long. I'm sure they won't notice if we trim it."

A soft sigh and a frown marred the little girl's forehead briefly before she conceded with a sigh."Okay. But just a trim."

Claire smiled and kissed her forehead. "Good girl. Now sleep."

She pulled up the blanket up to her chin, kissed her cheek and flicked off the lights.

But sleep was light for the five-year-old girl. As a soundless breeze, blew from a window left unopened and tousled her wavy curls, she roused from sleep.

She groggily sat up from the bed, rubbing the remnants of sleep from her tired eyes. She looked around and her eyes rested by the glass window. The rain had started and fogged up the glass window. There was a window left unopened, letting the cold breeze in and swaying the fire in the hearth. She jumped down from the bed, unminding of the cold floor beneath her bare feet as she hurried to close them.

As she pressed the shutters closed, she heard a faint sound coming from downstairs.

She froze and strained to hear it again. A second later, she heard a loud thud making her heart beat race.

Maybe, she should check it out?

Maybe Big brother came to sneak up for spaghetti again.

A pout made its way to her lips when she thought of it. She loved spaghetti too and she can't let him have it all. That Bully!

With that in mind, she hurried out of her room.
