"What the fuck are you doing here?"
Soojin stared at her reflection in the mirror, cold water running over her trembling hands. No matter how much she scrubbed, the blood—his blood—was still there.
She could still hear his scream.
Her chest tightened as the memory replayed in her mind, over and over.
With a sharp breath, she shut off the faucet and dried her hands, even though they still felt stained. Stepping out into the dimly lit hospital hallway, she was met with suffocating silence.
Sensei Kim stood by the reception desk, flipping through paperwork, her face unreadable. But she wasn't who Soojin was looking for.
She felt so alone.
"Soojin!"
Her head snapped up at the familiar voice.
Tory and Yoon were rushing toward her, arms open, ready to catch her the moment she broke. But Soojin barely saw them.
Her gaze was locked onto someone standing just behind them.
Her fists clenched. Heat burned through her veins. She didn't stop to think—she just moved.
Soojin stormed past her friends, her fist swinging before anyone could react.
John Kreese barely caught himself before he hit the ground, his face twisted in shock.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" Soojin's voice trembled with rage. "This is your fault! You put that knife in his hands, and now you have the nerve to show up like nothing happened?" She took a step forward, fists shaking. "I know it was your goddamn knife. I don't want you near us."
She raised her arm again, but this time, strong hands grabbed her, pulling her back.
Tory and Yoon held her in place as Sensei Kim entered the hallway with a doctor in tow.
"That's enough, Soojin," Kim said firmly.
The doctor cleared his throat, clearly uneasy. "Uh... hi," he started awkwardly. "I'm Dr. Park. I'm the attending physician for Kwon Jae-Sung."
Soojin barely heard him over the pounding in her chest, but she felt Tory's fingers intertwine with hers, grounding her.
"The surgery was successful," Dr. Park continued. "We were able to repair the damage."
Soojin's breath hitched. The crushing weight on her chest loosened—just a little.
"But..." The world froze again. "...he lost a significant amount of blood. We were able to find a compatible donor, but due to the trauma, he's fallen into a coma."
