Zoë🎄 "okay so if it's a girl, it goes to me and Ellie if it's a boy it goes to you two, get it?"
We were all stood around with money in our hands as joe and Di went off to the scan where they found out the gender
Joe🎮 "we are putting money on our baby's gender"
Ellie🌝 "yep"
Dianne💋 "oh come on let's just go then we can find out sooner"
We said good bye to Thea who was happy playing with the dolls she had at the flat, we walked halfway down the corridor when a little voice was chasing us.
Thea🧸 "MUMMY WAIT!!"
Dianne💋 Thea has recently turned two so her speech was very very good, she sounded so Australian at the moment and I didn't really notice it but joe said how it was so much cuter than having a British accent.
Thea🧸 "bye bye baby, luf ooo"
Joe🎮 I crouched down to Thea's height
"Thea do you think you will have a brother or sister?"
Thea🧸 "bruffer"
Dianne💋 "say daddy needs to stop talking or we'll never know"
Thea🧸 "gooooo dada!"
Joe🎮 "alright alright, go back to the flat baby"
Thea🧸 "okay"
Dianne💋 off she went skipping into the flat, we continued to walk to the bus stop because joe was taking his driving test next week and then eventually we can get a car.

At the hospital

Joe🎮 we had been waiting in the waiting room for what felt like hours, we watched so many couples walk out arm in arm holding photos. We were waiting and waiting, we were never called in.
Doctor👩🏼‍⚕️ "Dianne Buswell"
Dianne💋 "finally" I whispered to joe, between the 12 week scan I had practically inflated, my bump was huge. We both couldn't wait to find out if it was a him or her.
"Hi"
Doctor👩🏼‍⚕️ "hiya, so from your bump they don't seem to be on the small side"
Dianne💋 "no I don't think so, we will be able to find out the gender today, won't we?"
Doctor👩🏼‍⚕️ "if baby wants to behave then yes, there should be no problem, now would you like to lie back on the bed and we will have a look"
Dianne💋 they always say that when the doctor is silent something is wrong, but when they are talking it's all good. Normally the screen is facing them and within a couple of seconds they turn it around but we couldn't see a thing.
Doctor👩🏼‍⚕️ "okay, so just relax I'm sure it's perfectly normal but I'm just going to get another one of the doctors to have a little look at something. I won't be a second"
Dianne💋 "what's going on, what's happening!"
I felt my heart start to pound in my chest
"Joe?"
I said squeezing his hand
Joe🎮 "I love you Dianne"
Dianne💋 "I love you too, joe I'm really scared"
Joe🎮 "same, but we have each other and the girls and Thea, just breathe, it could be alright think of the positives"
Dianne💋 "okay"
Doctor2🥼 "hello miss Buswell, do you mind if I have a feel"
Dianne💋 "no it's fine"
I kept looking at joe
I could hear the doctors talking to each other, neither of us could make out what they were saying
Doctor2🥼 "I'm just going to have a little look on the screen"
Dianne💋 "what's going on!?"
Doctor👩🏼‍⚕️ "just try and stay calm, you don't want to increase your blood pressure"
Joe🎮 I was so scared, and so was Dianne, I stayed silent and held onto Diannes hand, I didn't let go even for a second.
The second doctor left the room and the first doctor sat down on her seat...
