Dianne💋 "you can call me dianne, yes I'm sure I will tell them, they have to hear it from me"
Nurse👩🏿‍🦱 "okay Dianne, now pretend to be asleep so he won't suspect anything, I'll be back in a bit to check your alright"
Dianne💋 "thank you nurse, it means a lot"

Joe🎮 we were outside the ward
"Right Thea I'm going to go and see mummy and I will come out and get you as soon as I can okay you be a good girl for aunties okay"
Thea🧸 "yep, love you dada"
Joe🎮 "I love you too, see you in a minute girls"
I walked in and sped straight to dianne. I looked and saw her in bed fast asleep, I walked over to her and sat on the chair I held Diannes hand
"I love you so much Dianne, so so so much"
I found myself stroking her hair and holding her hand soon enough she started regaining consciousness
"Good morning sleepy head"
Dianne💋 "am I alive"
Joe🎮 "well I hope You are or I'm seeing ghosts, a beautiful one at that"
Dianne💋 "how did it go"
Joe🎮 "smoothly, I'm guessing your all sorted"
Dianne💋 "how's Thea?"
Joe🎮 "she's okay, I have to say it was heartbreaking"
Dianne💋 "I can't say I didn't hear, I'm sorry I put you through it"
Joe🎮 "right first of all stop apologising! I love you and you didn't put me through anything, alright! Now second shut up and give me a kiss"
I leant into Dianne and gave her a kiss it was perfect, it was so reassuring.
"Did you have any dreams"
Dianne💋 "don't be stupid"
Joe🎮 "well did you"
Dianne💋 "no but that just sounds boring so I'll make one up.."

Joe🎮 "you can't think of one can you?"
Dianne💋 "no"
I said smiling up at him
Joe🎮 "do you want me to go and get the girls? Or do you want just Thea"
Dianne💋 "get them all"

I walked out and went and got the girls
"Does someone want to see their mummy?"

We all walked to Dianne and Thea ran to the bed

Ellie🌝 I ran over to dianne and gave her a massive hug
"I couldn't lose you again!"

I was subtly trying to get Ellie and dianne on their own because I knew they hadn't had much time just with each other

I said wrapping my arms around Ellie

Soon enough everyone left and it was just me and dianne.
Dianne💋 "heyyyy, when was the last time it was like this, not me in hospital of course"
Ellie🌝 "it's been ages, Dianne are you okay, like you?"
Dianne💋 "I'm coping but I've been thinking, it's not fair on Thea, I need to get some help, I'm going to start to eat again and I will go to the doctors to be referred for counselling. It's got to stop. I'm sorry I've put you through shit"
Ellie🌝 "don't think for a second you have, we all love you, and you know where I am when you want to moan and rant etc, we're all here to support you too"
Dianne💋 "thank you els"
We continued to talk about random things until joe came back.

Joe🎮 at the hospital there was a certain rule about visiting times, children could visit between the hours of 10am until 5pm, I looked at my phone and saw that it was 4:45.
"Zo thea can't be on the ward in 15 minutes"
Zoë🎄 "why, that's stupid"
Joe🎮 "children can't be on the ward between 10 and 5, is 4:45 now"
Zoë🎄 "I guess I'll take her home, Ellie won't want to leave Di and of course you won't, do you want us to stay round tonight to help you out?"
Joe🎮 "would you?"
Zoë🎄 "of course we would, come on let's see Dianne and have a chat with her for 15 minutes, then later I can pic up Ellie and if you want I'll drop you off some stuff so you can stay with Dianne tonight"
Joe🎮 "thank you Zoë"
We walked into Diannes cubicle thing and straight away Thea ran over to her
"Carful Thea, mummy's very tired!"
Thea🧸 "sorry muma!"
Dianne💋 "that's fine I'm alright!"
Thea was bouncing up and down dancing around on the spot
"What has daddy and auntie Zoë fed you, your bouncing off the walls"
Thea🧸 "CAKE!!"
Joe🎮 "calm down Thea"
I pulled Thea up onto my lap
"Di Thea can't be here after 5 so Zoë said she would go home with her and then come and give me some stuff later so I can stay with you tonight"
Dianne💋 "oh don't be stupid, your going home tonight, end of. And you Ellie. I'm not a baby however I have one and I would quite like her to be looked after"
Joe🎮 "we'll see about that"
Dianne💋 "I mean it Joesph, anyway what time does the visiting house close?"
Joe🎮 "you can have one person 24/7 but you can only have 1+ after 7, so Ellie will probably stay here till 7 and I'll stay the whole night"
Dianne💋 "NO, your both going at 6:30 latest!"
Ellie🌝 "alright mum, calm down"
I said laughing
Dianne💋 "no but I just don't want you all making a fuss of me, it's my fault I'm in here anyway"
Zoë🎄 "for the last time Dianne it wasn't your fault"
Dianne💋 "well you know I was told not to lift heavy things so I lifted the plates and Thea, it's alright now though"
Joe🎮 "well your getting better now so that's all in the past"
I moved the chair to the side of the bed and leant into Diannes shoulder, Thea came running over and jumped on my lap
"Hello missy, good luck getting her to sleep tonight"
Dianne💋 "yeah god luck joe, your going home"
Thea🧸 "muma are you home today"
Dianne💋 "no princess mummy is sleeping in this bed tonight but maybe you can sleep in mummy's bed with dada"
Joe🎮 "hold up Dada hasn't agreed to that"
Thea looked up at me with her hands clasped together and giving me cute eyes
"You are just like you mummy!"
I said pulling her into me and tickling her
Thea🧸 "DAD! STOOPPPPPP"
Ellie🌝 "jeez it's 5:30 already! Wait Thea can't technically be on the ward, oh well"
Zoë🎄 "oh it's fine she's well behaved"
Dianne💋 "one hour you three"
Joe🎮 "we'll see about that"
Ellie🌝 "joe have you not learnt how determined Dianne is"

Dianne💋 "one, I just am two I don't want you or anyone getting a bad back because of the chair, plus when you've not had a good night sleep your grumpy"
